ENGINEERING EUROPE'S GROUND AUTONOMY

Emmel develops autonomous ground platforms for defence, security and critical infrastructure. One autonomy stack runs across several vehicle types. The platforms are modular, built on proven base vehicles to reduce programme risk and time to field, and designed for operation in contested environments. Designed in Sweden, built in Europe, with IP and data under European control.

  1. HOW WE BUILD

    The autonomy stack, fleet management, over-the-air updates and vehicle integration are all developed in-house in Sweden. The engineering team has seventeen years of production delivery behind it, across telecom, robotics, infrastructure and frontier product development, and brings the same discipline to systems that have to work in the field.

  2. FROM DEMONSTRATOR TO FIELD

    Emmel has built and operated its first platform: a remote-operated UTV on a proven base vehicle, running the same software stack that will carry full autonomy. In 2026 the platform was field-tested with FMV and the Swedish Armed Forces. The path to fielded autonomy is now mainly a software roadmap, on hardware that already works.
